About the artist

Tim James is an award-winning photographer whose work has appeared in many of Britain's leading newspapers and magazines.

After a successful career behind the camera, he has returned to his lifelong passion for painting.

Working in oils and acrylics, he paints both en plein air and from his studio on the North Norfolk coast.

His work is rooted in a love of landscape, light and atmosphere, capturing the character of the places that inspire him.

He is equally drawn to still life and the quiet serenity of everyday moments through paintings that find joy in the familiar.
